I. LIGHT ONE CANDLE
MEMORIAL EDUCATION FUND

The LIGHT ONE CANDLE/DR. GREGORIO M. CANALES MEMORIAL EDUCATION FUND was established in 1993 and is a Donor Advised Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation, a Texas non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The income and corpus of the Fund is distributed by the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the educational needs of children receiving an education at the pre-school, elementary, middle or high school level. The area served by this Fund includes the entire United Sates and is not limited to Bexar County, Texas or the San Antonio, Texas metropolitan area.

II. LIGHT ONE CANDLE ENDOWMENT FUND

The LIGHT ONE CANDLE/ DR. GREGORIO M. CANALES ENDOWMENT FUND was established in 2003 and is a Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation. The net income of this Fund is distributed by the Board of Directors of the Foundation exclusively to the Light One Candle/Dr. Gregorio M. Canales Memorial Education Fund (LIGHT ONE CANDLE EDUCATION FUND) of the San Antonio Area Foundation, a Texas non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, students from three of our beneficiary schools attended an all day Storytelling Workshop at Trinity University.
